AMLA works at 3 levels:
- The communication and export of Latin American society and culture, one country at a time, promotes cultural and social exchange, creating bonds of friendship and solidarity between people and institutions of the principality and Latin America.
- Second, AMLA represents a meeting platform, a fair of socio-cultural events in the glamorous and cosmopolitan European style. AMLA attracts and brings together a circle of people who share a successful social and professional career, a high awareness and the possibility of promoting our social cause through education and the exchange of culture and the unique DNA of each society.
- Finally, AMLA identifies and collaborates with local and international charitable organizations that seek to solve, in a sustainable way and with impact, problems of global importance within health, education and the social structure.
AMLA’S CHARITABLE MISSION
AMLA Directs its solidarity work to the 17 sustainable development goals of the UN (SDGs), and the World Health Organization (WHO). It is in this way that we arrive at the beautiful project that successfully supports the biomolecular laboratory of the Dr Percy Boland Maternity in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, which seeks to cure Chagas in newborns with congenital Chagas. Chagas is a parasite Trypanizoma cruci (T.cruzi) transmitted by the bite of an insect (“vinchuca”) and that can be transmitted from mother to child, through blood transfusion and/or organ transplant, which does not present symptoms, until have already caused serious damage to the heart, intestine and esophagus, often with fatal consequences. This infectious disease is incurable, unless discovered and treated before the first year of life, it is for this very reason that the Dr Percy Boland maternity project is of such importance and promise. Chagas is part of the group of neglected diseases of the World Health Organization and since 2019, the year in which the international Chagas day was established on April 14, worldwide attention through the WHO campaign, called “I wear the World Chagas Disease Day t-shirt”. Bolivian actress Carla Ortiz and singers Fabio Zambrana Orlando and Milton Cortez, who will be with us at the AMLA 2022 gala, have donned their t-shirt supporting this cause. The financing of this project for a period of 2 years will be possible with the funds generated during the AMLA 2022 Gala and the No Finish Line Santa Cruz jointly organized by AMLA, the NFL International Rotary and Fexpo.
During the AMLA 2022 Gala, called Mystical Bolivia, Bolivia will present all the splendor of its cultural wealth in art, gastronomy, music, cinema, dance and cocktails to a sophisticated European public united by the cause “a free childhood”. of Chagas”.
I take this opportunity to ask all our talented participants to follow the example of Carla, Fabio and Milton and join our cause by supporting and promoting the participation of our No Finish Line Santa Cruz de la Sierra, from March 1 to 5, 2023 in the Fexpo properties and to be Ambassadors of the NFL Santa Cruz, thus an active part of its promotion and branding.
THE NO FINISH LINE (NFL):
NO FINISH LINE which means “WITHOUT FINISH LINE” because it is not about reaching the finish line but about going around a “closed circuit” from 1.5 to 2 kilometers long, trying to cover the greatest number of kilometers because for every 1 km traveled, participants, donors and sponsors of the event donate $1 dollar.
